OREGON EAST SYMPHONY AND CHORALE

The Oregon East Symphony and Chorale, entering its 19th season in October of 2004, has been called “the best rural orchestra in North America.” The symphony plays a six concert season in the historic Vert Auditorium, 500 SW Dorion Avenue, offering quality musical opportunities.

The success of OES can be attributed to the dedicated volunteerism of our musicians, to our conductor and music director, Kenneth Woods, to the supportive residents of our community and to the Oregon East Symphony’s board of directors, who, in 2001, launched “Playing for Keeps,” the organization’s youth music education project that has grown to the largest of its kind in the Pacific Northwest.
